We are sorry but this course will not be running this term

Everybody likes to blow up stuff. ICRS offers you the possibility to gain a bit of technique to do this with a rocketry course! Well, clearly there won't be any explosions going on during the course, but...we will really make you build a 3-stage rocket!

Overview

This course is a continuation of Robotics 101 and brings students to a more exciting project. A 3-stages rocket will be built and hopefully launched by the end of the course! This will be run more like a group project rather than as a standard course: participants will be asked to partner-up in groups of 2, 3 or 4 and work on their rocket on Wednesday afternoons. James, ICRS’s Vice-President, will give every group an introduction to the work to be done and will help people out whenever they’ll get stuck on anything. A bit of practice with C++ will be required.

You will be able to join the sessions at any point on the dates displayed above - just drop in the lab on lv.5 and ask James, the course leader, to give you an introduction to the project you will be working on. If you already have a group to work with, you are welcome to come in with the other members. If not, please come in anyway and surely we will find you somebody to work with! Each session may last as long as you want it to last and everybody is welcome to later stay and discuss with other ICRS Committee members about any projects that they would like to work on within the Robotics Society.

Note: you will have to be an ICRS member to register for the course. To buy membership, click here.
